Finally, a simple to use, cost effective, CAN controlled Charger Controller with user adjustable settings. If you change your battery pack configuration you don't need to buy a new charger or pay someone to reprogram it for you.

CAN control is the standard for component to component communication in OEM applications, and for the same reasons, it's growing in popularity with custom builders. 

One Charger Controller unit can be configure and operate up to 4 CAN chargers simultaneously, by running a terminal emulation program over a USB port. These settings are stored in the EVCC eprom, in non-volatile memory.

EVCC is compatible (may be programmed with):

  • Windows XP
  • Windows 7
  • Windows Vista
  • Mac OS 10.7 or newer
  • Android tablets version 3.2 or newer

The EVCC integrates:

  • single or multiple charger control, using CANBUS 
  • J1772 functionality (no need for a separate circuit to enable/disable an EVSE)
  • environmentally robust enclosure
  • optional "low current" feature (user adjustable) for lower power outlets while charging on the road.

Charger output for lithium is adjustable for:

  • current
  • max voltage
  • max charging time
  • termination current

Additionally a profile for lead-acid can be enabled which adds a 3-stage charge curve specific for that chemistry.

Currently the EVCC is known to work on CAN-enabled ElCon, and PFCII chargers, and is compatible with Orion BMS, and all BMS's that use a daisy-chained signal loop.
